Travel by Air

We suggest flying into Aalborg Airport (AAL). There are direct flights from New York City and other European cities, see list of direct flights here. You can fly from California through a connecting flight. We recommend layovers in Copenhagen (CPH) and Amsterdam (AMS). If you choose to visit Copenhagen before or after, there is a 30 minute flight to and from Aalborg.

Travel by Car

If you are local to Denmark there will be plenty of parking at the Church & the Manor House, however, we strongly advise taking a taxi.

Aalborg Hotel Recommendations

Please note we will have a room block available at the Manor House where the reception is held. Please email book@slotshotel.dk and mention our wedding.

Hotel recommendations for downtown Aalborg:

Copenhagen Hotel Reccommendations

  • d’Angleterre. Five Star hotel. Right in the center of Copenhagen by the Royal Theater, Kings Square, Nyhavn and fancy shopping. The hotel where rock stars and celebrities stay when in town. Kongens Nytorv metro station will take you straight to the CPH Airport too.
  • SAS Royal. Interior design done by world famous Danish designer, Arne Jacobsen, this hotel has a rich heritage midcentury. This overlooks the Tivoli Gardens and is a 2 min walking distance to the Central Station from where trains leaves all day to and from the Airport.
  • Admiral Hotel. Rooms with 200-year-old beams in almost every one - are characterful and the harborfront views are great. Ask for rooms facing the Royal Opera House, donated to the city of Copenhagen by Danish shipping magnate, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller. The hotel is also just a short 10 min walk from both The Royal Palace, Amalienborg, where Queen Margrethe resides as well as the Marble Church.
  • Manon Les Suites. Manon Les Suites is located right next to the Copenhagen Lakes, and the Central square. Copenhagen city centre is just a short walk away.
